Jazz

Sweet Jazz. There's seriously nothing like a good relaxing night of Jazz after a long day of work. NOTHING. This was taken when Ben's parents were here in Melbourne for his grad. They were cool parents!

I can't help but notice when I was sitting there listening to this girl sing... That Jazz is the kinda music that can really make you feel relax, yet brings out memories of different things you've gone thru back out. I mean, the good kinda memories of cos. And I couldn't help but think back to the days where I was playing Bass in our Youth Band way back in Malaysia. Those were the days, we had an amazing keyboardist Wen Ji, an awesome guitarist Samuel, a great drummer Brandon, and little old me on bass and vocals. Yes, I use to sing. I reckon my voice was quite nice up until it changed. You know when you were a kid you had a kid voice? Then when you grow up it changes? Yea, my voice changed quite late, it only did change when I was around 16-17? And up until it changed, I sing. I wonder how life would be like if I still play/sing? Well, I don't think I have the money nor the time to find out as much as I wish to.....

I've sorta lost touch with the whole band beside Brandon. Met him at RMIT orientation last year. Before I met him there, I didn't even know he was in Melbourne. Always thought he was in Perth. Then there's Samuel and his family in Perth, and Wen Ji all the way in Ukraine. I still get an email or a message from her every now and then. But thats about it. And when I went back at the beginning of this year, the whole church and youth group were different. Very Different. OR should I say still the same? The audio people in the audio stand still doesn't know what they are doing half the time, and the worship leaders still don't know how to choose songs that would suit the atmosphere and their voice. The band still played like they are all individuals and all the backup singers still wanna be louder then the worship leader. It was bad. I was shocked that after 6 years of leaving the church and youth, things only went down hill. Or is it just me being around some of the world's best these few years that my standard went up? hmmm.... I think it's abit of both...
