God Still Comes...

Everything that was written in the past, was written to teach us. Be it the Bible, or our history books. It was written to remind us about the good and the bad. As Paul penned, "The scriptures give us patience and encouragement so that we can have hope" [Romans 15:4]

These are not just sunday school stories we learn or heard. Not romantic fables we watch in movies... They are historical moments in which a real God met real pain so that we could answer the question, "Where is God when I am Hurt?"

How does God react to dashed hopes? Read the story of Jairus. How does the Father feel about those who are ill? Stand with Him at the pool of Bethesda. Do you long for God to speak to your lonely heart? Then listen as He speaks to the Emmaus-bound disciples...

He's not doing it just for them. He's doing it for me. He's doing it for you...

The God who spoke still speaks... The God who came still comes. He come into our world. He comes into your world. He comes to do what you can't do by yourself...

There's a scripture that says: "Examie and see how good the Lord is. Happy is the person who trusts Him." [Psalm 34:8]

This spoke to me a lot. He closes doors that need to be close. My centrelink unemployment fund was canceled. And along with that is my help from Salvation Army Employment Plus got cut off as well. At that point, I've spent countless hours queuing up for both these places, filled up numerous forms, and went into each place endless times. At that point, I felt that the weight of the whole world fell on me, rents and bills came to mind, simple things like money for food hit me hard. All of a sudden I felt alone even when I was driving in the car with my mum and my aunt. The funniest thing is, the song "Nothing is impossible" came on, I started singing it. Declaring that NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE! That my God can do ANYTHING!

My phone rang... a number I am not familiar with. I picked up, it was a sweet girl's voice. She introduce herself and told me she was from this HUGE LUXURY Salon that will open in Doncaster Shopping Town. (I don't have much info about the company yet) But it's going to be a HUGE LUXURY place. I'm talking about Hollywood style, High End, a luxury salon, with a luxury beauty salon, with a skin doctor in there or something all under one roof. I was stunned. Like completely stunned. Shocked, and lost for words. I did a 40mins phone interview and she was very impress with what God has done in my life. Basically, I passed the first round of interview process, and will move on to the next. There's 3 stages. I'm hoping that this would go well, wait. I DECLARE that this will go well as God has HUGE plans for me.

All these was yesterday.

And this morning, I got another call from "Aveda". They are interested in me becoming their "Salon Development Partner". To be honest, I don't even care about what title I'll get. I'm more interested in getting to know the people I'm going to be working with and taking them through a journey to know Jesus. This was a short phone call, 10mins, and she pretty much told me I got through as well, and will contact me for more details later in the week. Mind you, all these jobs application I sent in 2 weeks ago, and just when I was starting to give up, and thinking of other ways of applying for a job, He comes through...

I really want you guys to know that God will always come through. Not matter how hard it may seem right now, and how many things you need to do or finish off. Hang in there...
