A Burnt Down House...

Posted by aLv|N (Melbourne, Australia) on 24 March 2009 in Cityscape & Urban.

Today, I woke up with a shock. I woke up to a message from Hau Wei telling me Christine's House got burnt down this morning. And I went back to bed. 10 mins later, I jumped out of bed only realizing that someone's house was burnt down! So I gave him a call and got the address, and rushed to her place. It was terrible. the house was black. I mean BLACK!

The picture above was suppose to be her housemate's room. It's now, pretty much nothing. All she had was gone. worst still, she got burnt and got sent to the hospital. This is her housemate that is. Christine on the other hand was in school when all this happened, and by the time she rushed back, it didn't looked good at all. I have to say, I feel sorry but I know that my God can do some good from this. So I stayed and help, got a van from church office, and called a few guys over, and we save as much stuff as we can before the guys sealed off the place for good. The guys were nice enough to give us time to pack some stuff, and Hau Wei was nice enough to give up his place as storage, and Peggan's house for Christine in the mean time...

I am tired. My body tells me I've done too much, My brain reminds me of the interview that I missed, and the event meeting that I've missed, and a catch up that I've missed. But my heart tells me that I did a good deed today, and it was all worth it. I came home and felt like God speaking to me saying, "Well done, ye good and faithful servant".
